Help/How to Download

How to Download

Every game on GameBounty has a Download button that takes you to its download page. There you'll find one or more mirrors. Each one hosts the same game on a different file server.

1
Pick a mirror

Choose whichever loads fastest for you; they all contain identical files. If a mirror is dead, slow, or requires a paid account, switch to another one on the same page.

2
Download every part

Games are split into multiple parts (part1, part2, part3, ...) to fit within each host's per-file size limit.

  • Save every part to the same folder
  • Don't rename the files. They're linked by name and renaming breaks extraction
  • You need all parts. Missing one causes a "Cannot find next volume" error on extraction.
3
Navigate the host page

Mirror links open a page on the file host showing a Download or Slow Download button, sometimes behind a timer or captcha.

  • Install uBlock Origin. It removes the overlay ads and fake "Download" buttons that file-host pages are full of
  • Click only the button that triggers a file save dialog. Anything that opens a new tab is an ad.
  • Solve captchas normally. Don't install browser extensions that claim to auto-solve them.
4
Optional: use a download manager

Built-in browser downloads are fine for small games. For anything over a few GB, a download manager can resume interrupted downloads instead of starting over.

  • Free Download Manager is the simplest option: install and it intercepts download links automatically
  • JDownloader 2 has more features and handles multiple hosts in a queue
5
Extract the archive

You need 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR installed before you can extract.

  1. Confirm every part is in the same folder and none are renamed
  2. Right-click part1, the file ending in .part1.rar or .part01.rar
  3. Choose 7-Zip → Extract to "[game name]\" or WinRAR → Extract Here
  4. Wait for it to finish. Don't close the window or extract individual parts separately.

When done, open the extracted folder and continue with the Installation Guide.

Note

"Cannot find next volume" means a part is missing or has been renamed. Check that all parts downloaded fully and that no browser added a (1) suffix to a filename. Rename it back if so.
